Ranchi District Administration Launches 24/7 WhatsApp Helpline for Public Complaints

Ranchi: The Ranchi district administration has launched a dedicated WhatsApp number, 9430328080, to streamline the process of receiving and resolving complaints from residents. The initiative was officially launched today by Deputy Commissioner Shri Manjunath Bhajantri, who emphasized that the new platform is aimed at making the complaint resolution process more accessible and efficient for the public.

During the launch at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Shri Bhajantri explained that the WhatsApp number will remain active 24/7, allowing residents to report issues at any time. A dedicated nodal officer has been appointed to oversee the monitoring of the platform, with two additional officers to assist in handling the complaints.

To ensure swift action, workers have been assigned to three shifts—morning (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM), afternoon (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM), and night (10:00 PM to 6:00 AM). These workers will receive complaints via the WhatsApp group, forward them to the appropriate departments, and ensure timely updates on the progress of resolutions.

DC also noted that efforts would be made to improve the platform’s functionality over time to better serve the community.
