Jamshedpur: CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML) in Jamshedpur hosted one-day exposure training on Materials and Metallurgical processes for students and faculty members of Srinath University. The event aimed to promote scientific awareness among college students by providing them with firsthand experience of scientific research and innovation, as part of the CSIR-Integrated Skill Initiative programme.
A total of 47 students (30 boys and 17 girls) from Srinath University, accompanied by 3 faculty members, attended the program. The day began with an inaugural session led by Dr. Sandip Ghosh Chowdhury, Director of CSIR-NML. In his address, Dr. Chowdhury highlighted the contributions of CSIR over the past 82 years in driving technological advancements and pioneering research in various fields.
The program featured visits to several research laboratories, including the AAC, Creep, Urban Ore Recycling, and the Workshop, where students gained valuable insights into cutting-edge scientific processes.
