Dhanbad: The ICPHD-2024 conference concluded successfully at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, highlighting advancements in petroleum engineering and energy sustainability.
The event drew nearly 250 delegates from academia and industry, featuring two plenary lectures, 28 keynote sessions, eight invited speeches, 87 oral presentations, and 32 poster presentations across 28 sessions. Topics covered included oil and gas, carbon capture, geothermal energy, hydrogen, AI/ML, and energy policies.
The closing ceremony was attended by Omkar Nath Gyani, Director (Operations) of ONGC Videsh Ltd., as Chief Guest, and Amitabh Ranjan, Registrar of the Indian Institute of Public Administration, as Guest of Honor.
The session was chaired by Professor Sukumar Mishra, Director of IIT-ISM. Professor Keka Ojha, Convener, highlighted the conference’s achievements, while Omkar Nath Gyani stressed global partnerships for energy sustainability.
The event also saw the release of the book Artificial Intelligence and Application of Digital Technology for Oil and Gas Fields by N. K. Mitra, ex-Director (Offshore) of ONGC.
The ceremony concluded with acknowledgments and the National Anthem, officially marking the end of the successful conference.
