Ranchi: Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, took a significant step in nurturing young talent and promoting technological innovation as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. On December 15, the institute hosted 102 students and their teachers from PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Simdega, for an enriching visit aimed at sparking their curiosity and enthusiasm for technology.
The students explored cutting-edge facilities like the Department of Space Engineering & Rocketry, the Digital Lab, and the Unmanned Vehicle Lab, sparking interest in technology and innovation.
The institute also marked National Energy Conservation Day, organized by the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC-BIT), to raise awareness about energy efficiency and sustainability. Prof. Sudip Das, Acting Registrar, highlighted the importance of energy in daily life and urged students to adopt sustainable practices.
The event featured a session by Dr. Rajeev Kumar on “Organic Waste to Wealth Creation Through Technology Intervention,” emphasizing the role of renewable energy in combating climate change. Workshops on energy efficiency and energy audits were also conducted, furthering the institute’s commitment to sustainable development.
