Ranchi: The CIL Inter Company Volleyball Competition 2024, held from December 22 to 24 at CCL’s Gandhinagar Stadium, concluded successfully. The event, organized under the aegis of the Jharkhand Volleyball Association, saw a remarkable turnout, with the organizing committee of CCL playing a key role in its success.
The final match of the three-day competition featured a thrilling clash between NCL and MCL. MCL emerged victorious, defeating NCL 3-1 in a fiercely contested match. The sets ended with scores of 26-24, 25-23, 19-25, and 25-17, with both teams delivering exceptional performances.
In recognition of his outstanding contribution during the final match, Sudhanshu Mohan Sahu was awarded the “Man of the Match” award, as well as the “Best Defender” title. Arun Kumar Vaidya was honored with the “Best Smasher” award, while Sujeet Kumar received the “Best Lifter” award. Kunal Sharma was named “Player of the Tournament” for his exceptional performance throughout the event.
The final match was graced by Nilendu Kumar Singh, CMD of CCL, as the Chief Guest, with Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Personnel) at CCL, attending as the special guest.
In his address, Singh praised the organizing committee, emphasizing that sports foster not only physical and mental growth but also highlight the values of teamwork, discipline, and competitiveness.
Before the final match, Para volleyball players demonstrated sitting volleyball, showcasing incredible courage and determination. CMD applauded the Para athletes and encouraged their passion.
The event proved to be an exciting display of volleyball talent and teamwork, with the CCL organizing committee and Jharkhand Volleyball Association receiving commendation for their efforts in making the competition a success.
