Bokaro: The 21st Bokaro Open Basketball Championship will take place on December 30th and 31st at the basketball court in Janvrit 12, Bokaro. The competition will see participation from around 30 teams, including categories for under-14 boys and girls, a kids group, and senior teams. All matches will be held in a league format.
Dr. Umakant Singh, the coordinator of the event, shared that the primary goal of the championship is to enhance the skills of emerging players and promote awareness of new basketball rules. The tournament, which has been successfully organized for the past 21 years, brings together both new and experienced players, with strong enthusiasm from participants.
As part of the competition, under-14 and under-16 boys and girls will be selected based on their performance, and these players will receive training for upcoming events. The last date for player registration is December 28th, and team selections will be held on December 29th at 5:00 pm.
Senior players, including Ram Narayan Pandit, Ram Lakhan Mistry, Vijay Minj, and others, have extended their best wishes for the successful conduct of the competition.
