# Sahityalok’s 33rd Foundation Day celebrated with a grand literary function

Bokaro: Sahityalok, Bokaro’s prominent literary institution, marked its 33rd Foundation Day on Sunday with a grand celebration at the Vidyapati Auditorium of Mithila Academy Public School, Sector 4.
The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Pranjal Dhanda, SDO Chas, along with other dignitaries, including Jagarnath Lohara (District Education Officer), Hari Mohan Jha (CGM, BSL), and the Chairman of Mithila Academy Public School. The ceremony began with garlanding Maa Saraswati’s picture and Mahakavi Vidyapati’s statue, followed by lamp lighting.
The celebration featured musical performances by Anju Jha and Sabita Mishra, and a special Bhagwati Geet by Anchal Pathak. Prominent personalities were honored for their contributions to literature, including Buddhinath Jha, Vijay Shankar Mallik ‘Sudhapati’, and Poonam Jha. The event also saw the release of Bhent, a Maithili drama by Aman Kumar Jha.
Pranjal Dhanda, in his address, highlighted the importance of literature, music, and art in reducing stress and promoting positivity. He congratulated Aman Kumar Jha for Bhent and praised Sahityalok’s literary contributions. Other dignitaries emphasized the significance of literature in education and personal growth.
The event featured a Kavi Sammelan, presided by Buddhinath Jha, with poets like Sukhnandan Singh ‘Sadya’ and Vijay Shankar Mallik ‘Sudhapati’ participating. The celebration reaffirmed Sahityalok’s dedication to preserving Maithili culture and promoting literary traditions in Bokaro.
