Bokaro: Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has emerged victorious at the 38th National Convention on Quality Concepts (NCQC-2024) held in Gwalior, organized by the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI). Competing against teams from various industries across India, BSL showcased its commitment to quality and excellence.
At this prestigious event, BSL made an impressive mark by securing the highest honors. A total of 11 teams from the plant received the “Par Excellence Award,” the most prestigious accolade, while 7 teams were honored with the “Excellence Award.” In addition, three teams earned the “Best Model Award,” recognizing their creativity and problem-solving abilities.
Notably, this year’s convention saw the participation of two Lean Safety Circle teams from BSL, marking their national debut. Their strong performance emphasized the plant’s dedication to safety and continuous quality improvement, highlighting its overall commitment to excellence.
The participating teams were selected through a rigorous process that included the Director-in-Charge QC Trophy, case studies, presentations at QCFI Chapter Conferences, and comprehensive knowledge tests on quality circle tools and techniques.
BSL management extended congratulations to all the winning teams and encouraged them to continue their innovative, cost-effective, and quality-driven work. The Business Excellence Department played a vital role in ensuring the successful participation of BSL teams in the competition.
