National Kavi Sammelan Celebrates Patriotism and Culture at Swadeshi Mela in Bokaro

Bokaro: The National Kavi Sammelan, organized on National Youth Day, captivated the audience with powerful poetry at the Ispatanchal Swadeshi Mela, Sector 4 Mazdoor Maidan, on Sunday evening. Rashmipunj Sahityanuragi Sansthan hosted the event in collaboration with Swadeshi Jagran Manch.

The sammelan was inaugurated by former MLA, along with other dignitaries, including Arun Pathak, the president of the kavi sammelan, Dr. Govind Gajab, national president of Rashmipunj Sahityanuragi Sansthan, and poetess Karuna Kalika, the national general secretary and program coordinator. They paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda and Bharat Mata with flowers and garlands before lighting the lamp to begin the event.

Poets and poetesses were honoured with mementos and shawls at the event. The program, chaired by Arun Pathak and conducted by Dr. Govind Gajab, featured a variety of poets including international poet Pritam Kumar Jha from Bihar, lyricist Saroj Jha from Jharkhand, and Dr. Parmeshwar Bharti from Bokaro, among others. The poets enthralled the audience with performances on themes like patriotism, Indian culture, spirituality, love, humor, and satire.

Notably, international poet Pritam Kumar Jha left a lasting impression with his poetry, while Ajay Chaudhary, state contact head of Swadeshi Jagran Manch, presented the Manch’s New Year diary to the poets. The event concluded with the patriotic song “Vande Mataram,” and poetess Karuna Kalika delivered the vote of thanks.
