BIT Mesra’s 6th Cricket Tournament: A Resounding Success

Ranchi: The 6th edition of the BIT Mesra Cricket Tournament concluded at the Cricket Oval, bringing together participants from diverse backgrounds in a celebration of sportsmanship, fitness, and community spirit. This annual event serves as a platform for fostering unity through the shared love of cricket.

The tournament saw a broad array of teams, including local children from surrounding villages, women’s teams comprising both working professionals and homemakers, and staff teams from junior and senior categories this year.

The event was aligned with the “Fit India Movement,” emphasizing the importance of women’s health and overall fitness.

Team Orange Chittahs, won the P K Mishra Memorial Trophy, sponsored by Swarnima Payal. In the junior and senior categories of the JV Sagar Memorial Children Trophy, the Doremons and Royals secured first place, respectively.

Snigdha Manna, the First Lady of BIT Mesra, presented the awards to the winning teams, alongside faculty members Dr. Gautam, Dr. Dhiman, Dr. S. Mishra, and Dr. Ghose, and an enthusiastic crowd of staff and children.
