Ranchi: The Finance Club at Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra launched its flagship event, “Finstreet 2025,” with an inspiring inauguration ceremony on January 17. Held at the CAT Hall, the event marked the beginning of three days of insightful sessions, engaging discussions, and interactive workshops focused on financial literacy.
The inauguration began with a lamp lighting ceremony and the Institute Prayer, followed by speeches from notable dignitaries. Dr. Anand Prasad Sinha, Faculty Advisor of the Finance Club, and Dr. Bhaskar Karn, Dean of Student Affairs, were among the key speakers. Dr. Karn emphasized the transformative power of financial literacy, urging students to approach finance with curiosity and confidence.
The event also featured Dr. Raju Poddar, Dean of Bioengineering and Biotechnology, who highlighted the connection between financial knowledge, innovation, and research. Dr. Sandeep Singh Solanki, Dean of Post Graduate Studies, spoke on the crucial role financial awareness plays in both personal and professional success.
The chief guest, Ramanandan Hegde, Chairman of Nandu Chemicals Industries, shared his expertise on the importance of financial literacy for shaping future leaders. Ujair Ahmed, Founder and CEO of Tradertooth, delivered a keynote address that engaged the audience with actionable insights on finance and trading, inspiring students to think creatively and apply financial principles in diverse ways.
As Finstreet continues until 19 January, the event promises to offer enriching sessions, panel discussions, and workshops aimed at enhancing students’ financial knowledge and preparing them for success in the dynamic world of finance.
