New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has lauded the outcome of the Delhi Assembly elections, emphasizing that the results signal a decisive rejection of the “politics of lies and loot.” In a social media post, CM Yogi attributed the victory to the enduring success of key government initiatives under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including service delivery, security, governance, and public welfare, which have been implemented over the past 11 years.

The Chief Minister congratulated all the winning candidates from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as well as the party’s dedicated workers. He also praised Prime Minister Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, and Home Minister Amit Shah for successfully rejuvenating the party’s presence in Delhi after a gap of 27 years. CM Yogi declared that the era of false promises and exploitation in the city had come to an end, and now, true development and welfare would shape the future for Delhi’s residents.

In contrast, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accepted the electoral results and acknowledged the people’s mandate. Kejriwal, whose Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was voted out of power, expressed his congratulations to the BJP and hoped they would meet the expectations of the voters.

Kejriwal, who lost his own seat, remarked, “We humbly accept the people’s mandate. I congratulate the BJP on their victory and hope they fulfill the promises that people voted for.” He also reflected on his party’s achievements during their tenure, highlighting improvements in education, healthcare, water, and electricity, as well as infrastructure development.

Despite the loss, Kejriwal expressed confidence in the AAP’s role as a constructive opposition, pledging to continue working for the needs of the public. “We didn’t enter politics for power, but to serve the people,” he added.
