Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani Arrives in New Delhi for Two-Day State Visit

New Delhi: The Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, arrived in New Delhi this evening for a two-day official visit to India. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including government ministers, senior officials, and a business delegation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the Amir upon his arrival at the airport.

During his visit, Sheikh Tamim will be given a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhawan tomorrow. He is set to hold discussions with President Droupadi Murmu, who will also host a banquet in his honour.

The Amir will meet with Prime Minister Modi to discuss various aspects of bilateral relations between India and Qatar.

India and Qatar share deep-rooted historical ties, built on friendship, trust, and mutual respect. In recent years, the two countries have strengthened their cooperation across various sectors, including trade, investment, energy, technology, culture, and people-to-people connections.

The Indian expatriate community in Qatar is the largest foreign community in the country, further underscoring the importance of the growing partnership. Sheikh Tamim’s visit is expected to bolster the multi-faceted relationship between the two nations.
