India Clinch ICC Champions Trophy Final Spot with 4-Wicket Win Over Australia

Dubai: India secured their place in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy after defeating Australia by 4 wickets in the first semi-final at Dubai.

Chasing a target of 265 runs set by Australia, India reached the target in 48.1 overs, finishing with 266/6 and sealing a spot in Sunday’s final.

Earlier, Australia chose to bat first but were bowled out for 264 runs with three balls remaining. Steven Smith top-scored for the Aussies with 73 runs off 96 balls, supported by Alex Carey’s 61 runs off 57 balls and Travis Head’s 39 runs off 33 balls.

 

India’s bowlers put in a disciplined performance, with Mohammed Shami leading the way, taking three wickets. Varun Chakravarthy and Ravindra Jadeja claimed two wickets each, while Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya picked up one wicket each.
