New Delhi: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully completed the undocking of two satellites, part of the Space Docking Experiment (SpaDEx) mission, marking a significant milestone in India’s space exploration journey.
The SpaDex mission, launched on December 30, 2024, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, successfully undocked two satellites, SDX01 and SDX02 (Chaser and Target), on January 16.
In a post on X, ISRO detailed the sequence of events, including the SDX-2 extension, the release of capture lever 3, disengagement of the capture lever, and the de-capture command for both satellites.
With this achievement, India becomes the fourth country, after the U.S., Russia, and China, to successfully carry out space docking.
