Patna: RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav sparked controversy during Holi celebrations at his official residence in Patna on Saturday. A viral video from the event shows Yadav instructing a police officer, identified as Deepak, to dance during the festivities.
In the video, Yadav is heard saying, “Hey Deepak, I’ll play a song, and you will have to dance. Don’t mind, it’s Holi. If you don’t dance today, you will be suspended.”
Tej Pratap Yadav is an absolute disaster.
Will single handedly become the reason for RJD and Tejasvi’s downfall.

The incident has drawn sharp criticism from political opponents, including BJP and JD(U) leaders, who accused Yadav of attempting to revive “Jungle Raj,” a term often used to describe the lawlessness under his father, former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla likened it to his father’s rule, saying, “Now, the son is trying to make law enforcement dance to his tunes with threats.”
JD(U) spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Prasad also condemned the act, stating that such behaviour is unacceptable in modern-day Bihar.
The incident comes as Bihar prepares for its upcoming Assembly elections, with the Election Commission yet to announce the official poll dates.
