RNS: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the country’s growing influence in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and stated that the global AI revolution would be incomplete without India’s contribution.
Speaking with US-based podcaster and computer scientist Lex Fridman, Modi stressed that AI development is a collaborative effort and no nation can fully develop it on its own.
“No matter what the world does with AI, it will remain incomplete without India,” he added.
Modi highlighted India’s focus on AI-driven applications for specific use cases and its unique marketplace model, ensuring accessibility. He pointed out that India’s vast talent pool, particularly its youth, is a major strength. “Artificial intelligence is powered by human intelligence, and real intelligence thrives in India’s youth,” he added.
Addressing concerns about AI replacing humans, Modi reassured that technology evolves alongside humanity. “Human imagination is the fuel. AI can create many things based on that, but no technology can replace the boundless creativity of the human mind,” he said.
