Ranchi: Authorities in Chatra district are continuing their crackdown on ineligible ration card holders who have been illegally receiving government benefits. This includes individuals who own assets like concrete houses, four-wheelers, tractors, government jobs, or other properties, despite not being eligible for ration benefits.
Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Gholap has directed the District Supply Department to recover the amounts from these ineligible beneficiaries.
DC has urged all ineligible ration card holders to voluntarily surrender their cards to the District Supply Office in Chatra by April 5, 2025. Those who fail to comply will face strict legal action under the Jharkhand Targeted Public Distribution System Control Order 2024, and heavy fines will be imposed.
