Muslims are safe only when Hindus are safe: Yogi

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asserted that the safety of Indian Muslims is inherently tied to the safety and preservation of Hindus and their traditions.

In an interview on the ANI podcast with Smita Prakash, Yogi said, “Indian Muslims are safe when Hindus and Hindu tradition are safe.” He dismissed Opposition claims of attacks on minorities, stating that Muslims are not under threat.

Yogi emphasised that it is the vote bank politics of leaders like Asaduddin Owaisi that is truly at risk.

“Muslims are not in danger; it’s their vote bank politics that’s in jeopardy,” Yogi said. He further added, “Indian Muslims must understand that their safety is assured only when Hindus and Hindu traditions are protected. Once they realize their roots, these political figures will be sidelined.”

Yogi also pointed to historical connections, reminding listeners that before 1947, Pakistan and Bangladesh were part of India. “Can we forget that there are sacred temples like Hinglaj Mata in Pakistan and Dhakeshwari Mata in Bangladesh?” he asked.
