In his post, Soren emphasized the state’s commitment to preserving the rich heritage, culture, and traditions of Jharkhand. Sarhul, one of the most celebrated festivals in the region, is marked by festive rituals, community gatherings, and traditional ceremonies, celebrating the arrival of spring and paying homage to nature and the forests. During Sarhul, people honor the sacred sal tree, considered central to the tribal way of life, and offer prayers for a good harvest and prosperity.
