Bokaro: ESL wrapped up its fiscal year with a celebratory FY25 Wrap-Up Townhall, reflecting on significant achievements and employee-centric initiatives. The event, filled with engaging activities, focused on the company’s progress across key areas such as business development, social impact, and internal engagement.
One of the standout moments was the “Know Your Leader” activity, which was inspired by the imaginative world of Studio Ghibli. The activity fostered laughter and strengthened the bond between employees and leadership. An inspiring audio-visual presentation also highlighted the company’s key milestones and successes from the year.
Driving Transformational Change in Communities
ESL’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in FY25 brought positive change to more than 85,000 individuals. The company’s social programs focused on empowering communities, enhancing skills, and generating livelihoods. Notably, over 2,700 women were empowered through Self-Help Groups, fostering financial independence and leadership roles within communities. Additionally, nearly 2,000 youth were trained in industry-relevant skills, with an impressive 74.56% job placement rate.
The company also supported 500 farmers through enterprise training programs, leading to a 100% engagement rate and boosting agricultural productivity. Moreover, 50 young athletes are being nurtured for state and national representation, demonstrating ESL’s commitment to inclusive growth.
Awards and Accolades for ESL
ESL garnered widespread recognition in FY25 for its commitment to quality, sustainability, and inclusion. The company was honored with the prestigious Happiness & Well-Being Award 2025 and named one of the Happiest Places to Thrive. Its CSR initiatives earned the Indian CSR Award 2024 for Best Rural Health Care Initiative (Corporate), while its efforts in promoting women in STEM were acknowledged with the CII Excellence in Women in STEM 2024 Award.
ESL also earned the 2nd Runner-Up position at the CII ENCON Awards and received the CII HR Excellence Award for strong HR practices. Other notable recognitions included the 16th ELSC Leadership Award for Outstanding Transformation in Supply Chain and the MQH Winner Trophy at the MQH Best Practices Competition 2024.
Building a Culture of Engagement and Inclusion
In addition to its social contributions, ESL fostered a vibrant workplace culture in FY25. Over 300 employees participated in the ESL Walk-A-Thon to celebrate Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti while promoting wellness and unity. The company also hosted the ESL T10 Cricket Tournament, which included exciting senior leadership matches and awards for top performers.
The company also marked World Water Day 2025, with over 500 employees raising awareness about water conservation. International Women’s Day 2025 was celebrated with engaging games, cultural performances, and employee recognitions organized by the Women’s Council ERG. The Sanskriti ERG hosted festive gatherings such as Holi Milan and Eid-E-Dawat, bringing employees together in celebration of unity and diversity.
