New Delhi: In a significant step toward strengthening agricultural cooperation, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Israel’s Agriculture Minister, Avi Dichter, have signed new agreements aimed at enhancing bilateral agricultural relations.
During the signing ceremony, Minister Chouhan emphasized the growing partnership between India and Israel, noting that both countries are experiencing robust collaboration across various sectors, including agriculture, water management, innovation, and technology.
Chouhan further pointed out that the issue of small landholdings in India remains a challenge, but under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, efforts are being made to make farming more profitable for those with limited land.
Speaking to the media, Chouhan highlighted the productive discussions held during the meeting, which focused on addressing food security concerns for the future.
He noted that both nations are prioritizing the development of resilient seeds capable of withstanding the impacts of climate change, ensuring higher crop yields even in increasingly warmer climates.
