Ranchi: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra organized a blood donation camp on April 12, aiming to raise awareness and encourage voluntary blood donation among students and staff.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Bhaskar Karna, Dean of Student Affairs and President of the NSS unit, who highlighted the importance of blood donation as a noble and life-saving act. “Blood donation is a great act of charity. We all should participate and also inspire others to join this humanitarian cause,” he said.
Program Coordinator Dr. O.P. Pandey emphasized the need to turn blood donation into a movement. “Make blood donation a campaign — save lives through your contribution,” he urged attendees.
Program officers Dr. Sanjit Kumar, Dr. Sanjeev Tiwari, and Dr. Abhijit Nag were also present during the event, which witnessed active participation from students.
Student leaders Ritesh, Vishesh, Prithvi Raj, Sanskar, and a team of dedicated NSS volunteers played a key role in organizing and ensuring the smooth execution of the camp. The initiative received positive response and appreciation across the campus community.
