Gautam Gambhir Receives Death Threat from ‘ISIS Kashmir’, Seeks Police Protection

New Delhi: Indian men’s cricket head coach and former parliamentarian Gautam Gambhir has reportedly received a death threat from a group identifying itself as “ISIS Kashmir.” The incident has sparked serious concern, prompting Gambhir to seek immediate police intervention.

According to news agency ANI, Gambhir approached the Delhi Police after receiving a threatening email that read, “I kill you.” A formal complaint has been lodged, and security measures around the former MP have reportedly been increased.

Gambhir, who served as a Member of Parliament from 2019 to 2024 representing East Delhi under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is also a recipient of the prestigious Padma Shri award. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the source and authenticity of the threat.
