Gaya: Bihar Governor Dr. Arif Mohammad Khan inaugurated a three-day National Ayurveda Seminar on lifestyle disorders and Ayurveda management at Swami Raghavendracharya Tridandi Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya and Hospital in Gaya. The seminar, organized by the National Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, New Delhi, commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, attended by dignitaries including Vice Chancellor of Bhimrao Ambedkar University Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai and Param Pujya Shri Lakshmi Prapanna Jiyar Swami Ji Maharaj.
During his address, Governor Khan praised the vision of Swami Raghavendracharya, whose legacy in Ayurveda has benefited thousands through the college’s OPD treatments. He emphasized the importance of Ayurveda for maintaining a healthy body and attaining self-knowledge. The Governor urged students to pursue Ayurveda with dedication and compassion, with a focus on service to humanity.
Special guest Lakshmi Prapanna Jiyar Swami Ji stressed Ayurveda’s integral role in Indian medical science, highlighting its enduring relevance despite modern advancements in medicine. Bhimrao Ambedkar University VC Prof. Rai underscored the connection between Ayurveda and nutrition, urging students to explore the medicinal plants of nature for a healthier life.
The seminar also featured contributions from various faculty members, social workers, and college officials. The event was attended by students, faculty, and Ayurvedic practitioners, marking an important step toward promoting Ayurveda as a sustainable solution for modern lifestyle disorders.
The seminar will continue over the next two days, offering valuable insights into Ayurveda’s contribution to contemporary health challenges.
