Bokaro: Bokaro: ESL Steel Limited, a Vedanta Group Company and a leading integrated steel producer in India, reaffirms its commitment to societal and community development by prioritizing the well-being of the communities it serves.
As part of this commitment, ESL Steel Limited organized an Inter-School Science Exhibition at SMJ +2 High School, Bijulia, aimed at fostering creativity and scientific temper among students.
The exhibition, attended by over 200 students, was designed to enhance the all-round personality development of children, particularly those enrolled in ESL Steel Limited’s educational interventionist programs like Project Prerna and AAS Vidyalaya. Students from various schools, including SMJ +2 High School, Bijulia; UMS Dhandebar; UMS Budhibinor; UMS Siyaljori; UMS (Urdu) Chandaha; UMS Tetulia; MS Yogidih; and PSM Siyaljori, participated in the event, making it a resounding success.
Fourteen teams competed in two groups (Senior & Junior) at the event. The jury, comprising Shaibal Gupta, Science Teacher at Chinmaya School, Bokaro; Indrajeet Bauri, Prerna Teacher, SSDF; and Rohit Kumar, Science Teacher at SMJ +2 High School, Bijulia, awarded the 1st Prize in the Seniors Category to SMJ +2 High School and in the Juniors Category to AAS Vidyalaya (Junior). The 2nd Prize for the Seniors went to AAS Vidyalaya (Senior) and in the Juniors to PSM Siyaljori, while the 3rd Prize was won by Alkusa Prerna Centre in the Seniors and Bhagaband Tutorial Mahata Tola in the Junior category.
The exhibition not only provided a platform for students to showcase their scientific prowess but also motivated them to pursue scientific endeavors in their lives. Practical application of scientific theories was emphasized as a means to enhance both academic studies and overall personality development.
The event was graced by various dignitaries, including Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Deputy Head, CSR Department, ESL Steel Limited; Pradeep Turi, Mukhiya Madhuniya Panchayat; Shristi Dhar Rajwar, Bis Sutriye Prakhand Adhyaksha, Chandankiyari; Santu Roy, Kishan Yuva Morcha Upadhyaksh; Islam Ansari, JMM Leader; and Ajay Tiwari, Ward Member, Belunja Panchayat, who cheered and encouraged the participating students.
