Jaridih / Bokaro: The Adivasi Sengal Abhiyan, led by Jaridih Block Sengal President Santosh Murmu, organized a one-day dharna in front of the Jaridih block office to demand the implementation of the Constitution, law, and democracy in tribal villages and societies. Seven delegations submitted a memorandum to the Jaridih Block Development Officer addressed to President of India Draupadi Murmu. A copy was also handed to Jaridih Police Station Incharge Kumar Vikram Singh.
Jharkhand State Coordinator Karamchand Hansda emphasized the national-level demand, initiated by National President and former MP Salkhan Murmu, for constitutional implementation in tribal areas, criticizing the hereditary Majhi-Pargana system for promoting unconstitutional practices and dictatorial governance.
Jharkhand State Coordinator Jairam Soren highlighted the persistent issues of intoxication, superstition, witch-hunting, and social boycotts in tribal villages, attributing blame to both government officials and the Majhi Pargana system. He called for immediate cooperation from the state government, district administration, and police to enforce constitutional governance.
Besides others Bokaro district coordinator Gopinath Murmu, Jaridih block coordinator Ram Sundar Besra, , Ashish Murmu, Jaridih block president Sengal Sarna Dharma Mandwa, Phuleshwar Murmu, Padma Soren, Sarjamuni Soren, Vishnu Dev Soren, Vasmati Tudu, Bablu Soren, Sanjay Murmu, Manju Soren, Ritvaran Murmu, Kriti Marandi, and local leaders were participated in the protest.
