Loyabad (Dhanbad): The Jharkhand State Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Women’s Wing marked the vibrant festival of Sawan Mahotsav with a spirited celebration at Pushpa Palace in Karmatand on Sunday evening.
Led by State President Asha Roy, the event saw enthusiastic participation from women who celebrated with traditional dances to Sawan-themed songs. The gathering was also treated to a selection of delectable dishes, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Addressing attendees, Asha Roy highlighted the party’s significant role in national politics. She noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the government has been formed for the third time, with LJP contributing to the success by securing all Lok Sabha seats.
Roy emphasised the party’s contribution to elevating the status of Dalits by including LJP’s young MP and party Chief Chirag Paswan in the Union Cabinet.
In view of the forthcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections, Roy expressed confidence in forming a government with the NDA, reaffirming their commitment to the coalition. She praised Modi’s vision of transforming India into a leading global power, aspiring to place the country among developed nations.
The celebration also featured prominent figures from the LJP Women’s Wing, including State Secretary Anjali Kalyani, State Secretary Meenu Singh, State Vice President Rupmati Devi, District Executive Sangeeta Singh, District President Anita Sharma, District Vice Presidents Pushpa Mehta, Anupam Singh, and Rupa Devi, among others. Together, they commemorated the Sawan festival, underscoring their unity and dedication to the party’s cause.
