Loyabad: Janshakti Dal chief Suraj Mahto claimed he narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on Saturday evening. During a press conference at his party office on Sunday, Mahto alleged that he was fired upon by Deepnarayan Singh and his associates while returning from a local visit. Fortunately, Mahto was not injured, and his driver quickly drove him to safety at the party office.

Mahto named several individuals, including Deepnarayan Singh, Suraj Singh, Prem Singh, Raja Mandal, and Mukesh Mandal, as being involved in the attack. He said he plans to file a police complaint following the press conference. According to Mahto, the attack was politically motivated, driven by fear of his growing popularity. He vowed to continue fighting for the poor and marginalized, even at the risk of his life.

In response, Deepnarayan Singh denied the allegations, calling them baseless and an attempt to damage his political reputation. He urged the administration to investigate the incident impartially and take appropriate action.
