Delhi Government Imposes Total Ban on Firecrackers Amid Rising Pollution

New Delhi: The Delhi Government has enacted a comprehensive ban on the manufacturing, storage, and sale of all types of firecrackers due to escalating pollution levels in the national capital. This ban takes effect immediately and will remain in place until January 1 of next year.

The Delhi Pollution Control Committee has issued an order outlining the restrictions, which also prohibit the delivery of firecrackers through online platforms and the bursting of any firecrackers during this period.

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai announced the ban via social media, emphasizing the need for action in response to the worsening air quality in winter. He called on residents to cooperate with the new regulations to help combat pollution in the city.
