Ranchi: Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) is set to host the Coal Medical Conference from October 24 to 27, 2024, at the Convention Centre of CCL Headquarters. This year’s event, themed “Health Priorities – Present and Future,” will feature over 300 doctors from various subsidiaries of Coal India.
The conference will kick off with a Pre-Conference Live Workshop on October 24, led by Dr. Pranav Ish, focusing on Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Subsequent workshops on Electrocardiograms (ECG) and Diabetes will be conducted by Dr. Deepak Gupta, a cardiologist from Samford Hospital Ranchi, and Dr. Ankit Srivastava, an endocrinologist from Ranchi, on October 25 and 26, respectively.
Among the highlights of the three-day conference will be lectures from distinguished specialists across India, including experts from AIIMS and the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi. Notable speakers include:
Dr. Sanjay Sachdeva, an ENT surgeon at Max Hospital, who will lead a workshop on “Micro Ear Surgery” and present on “Cochlear Implant.”
Padma Shri Dr. Randeep Guleria, who will deliver an online presentation on “Sarcoidosis Challenges in Diagnosis in India.”
Padma Bhushan Dr. S.K. Sarin, who will lecture on “Fatty Liver Reduction – Core to NCDs.”
Padma Shri Dr. J.S. Titiyal, who will address “Current Priorities of Eye Healthcare and Future Challenges” online.
Additionally, Dr. Yuvraj Kumar will discuss “Robotic Total Knee Replacement,” and Dr. Tapas Sahu will present on “Comprehensive Sepsis Management – From Detection to Recovery.”
The conference will also feature presentations on a range of topics, including “Using Self Defence…Care Treatment?” by Dr. Dinesh Pendharkar, and “Approach to GET Disorder” by Dr. Hrishikesh Kumar.
A total of 51 research papers have been submitted by doctors from various Coal India subsidiaries, with selected entries including six free papers and 26 case presentations.
