All IITs International Relations Conclave 2024 Concludes at IIT-ISM Dhanbad

Dhanbad: The All IITs International Relations (IR) Conclave 2024 successfully concluded at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad on December 13, marking a significant milestone in the institute’s Centenary Celebrations. The two-day event, held from December 12 to 13, brought together representatives from all 23 IITs across India.

Themed ‘STUDY IN INDIA’, the conclave focused on three key areas: Networking & Support, Internationalisation, and Study in India. The event saw participation from international offices of various IITs, along with experts from prominent organizations such as the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), EdCIL, DAAD, Heritage, and CIPERA. Discussions centered on enhancing international collaboration and support for academic initiatives.

In the valedictory session, Professor V.C. Srivastava, Dean (International Relations) at IIT Roorkee, underscored the importance of establishing a dedicated fund to support international relations initiatives and strengthening inter-IIT networking for advancing internationalization efforts. Dr. Arinindam Bhattacharya from DST highlighted opportunities through programs like SPARK and VAJRA, which promote international cooperation.

Professor R.M. Bhattacharjee, Dean (International Relations & Alumni Affairs) at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, summarized the strategies discussed to enhance global academic ties.

The conclave also included a visit to the Moonidih Coal Mines for representatives from 19 IITs, offering an enriching experience.

The event concluded with the presentation of Centenary Replicas to all participants, commemorating IIT-ISM Dhanbad’s centenary celebrations.

Mritunjay Sharma, Assistant Registrar (International Relations & Alumni Affairs), delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers for their contributions to the conclave’s success.
