PM Modi embarks on two day official visit to Saudi Arabia

New Delhi I Riyadh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embarked on a two-day official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aiming to reinforce the growing strategic partnership between the two nations.

Before his departure, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the deep-rooted and historic ties between India and Saudi Arabia, which he said have gained considerable momentum in recent years. He highlighted the evolving bilateral relationship, noting strong cooperation in areas such as defence, trade, investment, energy, and cultural exchanges.

Modi also expressed enthusiasm about meeting the Indian diaspora in Saudi Arabia, describing them as a “living bridge” between the two countries. He praised their significant contributions to strengthening the human and cultural bonds that unite the two nations.

During the visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to attend the 2nd Meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council. The meeting is expected to further build on the outcomes of the 2023 visit to India by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and advance shared goals of regional peace, security, and prosperity.
