Four DPS Bokaro Alumni Shine in UPSC 2024, Elevate School and State Pride

Bokaro: Delhi Public School (DPS), Bokaro, has once again made headlines with four of its alumni clearing the prestigious UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024, earning accolades for their alma mater, families, and the state of Jharkhand.

Karan Kumar (AIR 174), Aryan (AIR 262), Saurabh Suman (AIR 391), and Yash Vishen (AIR 452) have emerged as shining examples of perseverance and excellence. Most of them are expected to join the Indian Police Service (IPS).

Karan Kumar, an IIT-BHU graduate and current JP Morgan employee, cracked UPSC in his third attempt, crediting DPS Bokaro for laying the foundation of his success. Aryan, an IIT Bombay alumnus and music enthusiast, praised his school and parents for shaping his multidimensional growth.

Saurabh Suman, from Hajipur, cracked UPSC in his fifth attempt, calling his result a “gift” to his parents on their anniversary. A proud NIT Allahabad graduate, he emphasized the pivotal role of DPS Bokaro in his academic discipline.

Yash Vishen, who lost his father early in life and was raised by his mother, Uma Singh, cleared the UPSC thrice in a row. Currently in the Indian Revenue Service, his latest rank boosts his chances for IPS. A former Merchant Navy officer and school house captain, he called his mother and school the twin pillars of his success.

DPS Bokaro Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar congratulated the achievers, saying, “Dedication and diligence never go unrewarded. The perseverance of students determines their success.”
