Ashis Sinha I Bokaro: Vedanta-Electrosteel (ESL) mulling to increase its production capacity from 1.5 MTPA to 3 MTPA at Siyaljori unit in Bokaro.
Ahead of the expansion of ESL a public hearing was successfully concluded on Tuesday at plant premises. Administrative officials, local residents were participated in this hearing and moderately expressed their views, informed a Public Relations official of ESL. During the hearing, the company reiterated its commitment to the welfare and advancement of the local people, clarifying that the expansion would lead to a huge increase in employment opportunities at ESL for the local community.
Speaking on the occasion ESL representative said, the company aims to provide 70 per cent employment to the local community.
At the same time, the members at the local representatives gave a detailed overview of ESL’s social work and development in the surrounding areas after the commissioning of the plant. They illustrated the vital role of the company in holistic development. All the responsible public representatives of the area also acknowledged that ESL is playing a significant role in giving a successful dimension to self-reliant India’s vision in this area.
“There was a positive view of the company’s expansion,” they said. Also, the company received several new and useful ideas for improving the development, which was accepted by the senior officers of the company. The ESL officials expressed appreciation for the government’s continued support and encouragement.
Talking to the media persons, ESL officials said, “With the expansion of the plant, their aim is to increase the source of employment and welfare of the community in the state.”
The Vedanta group has always been known for its social welfare work.
ESL’s social work has also always been praised. With the expansion, it will also be the main objective of the company to provide employment to the local community and work for their betterment.
