# Live streaming on the ISRO website, YouTube, Facebook, and DD National TV
The Chandrayaan 3 spacecraft will land on the moon’s South Pole on August 23 at 6:04 p.m. (IST), with a live stream on the ISRO website, YouTube, Facebook, and DD National TV.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has declared that the eagerly anticipated soft landing of the third Lunar Mission, Chandrayaan-3, is slated to occur on August 23, at 18:04 hrs IST. In a recent update, ISRO disclosed that the powered descent for this pivotal manoeuvre is set to commence at 17:45 hrs.
“Chandrayaan-3 is poised to achieve lunar touchdown on August 23, 2023, approximately at 18:04 hrs IST,” a tweet from ISRO affirmed.
ISRO expressed gratitude for the well-wishes and positive sentiments received in anticipation of this historic event.
ISRO added an interactive element to this space mission by inviting people all around the world to take part in it.
In a tweet, ISRO announced that viewers may watch live coverage of the mission on the ISRO website, YouTube, Facebook, and DD National TV beginning at 17:27 hours local time on 23 August 2023.
The Lunar Module (LM) was positioned in an ideal position at the planned landing site after the ISRO successfully carried out the second deboosting procedure at 02:00 hours on Sunday.
This careful preparation explains why the spacecraft is currently hovering at a height of 25 x 134 kilometres.
In a recent social media update, ISRO detailed recent developments in the mission, including the successful completion of the second and final deboosting operation, which resulted in the refinement of the LM orbit to its current dimensions of 25 km x 134 km.
ISRO explained that after the spacecraft was ready for landing, “the module would undergo internal checks and await sunrise at the designated landing site.” Before the highly anticipated powered descent on August 23, this procedure will verify that all systems have been thoroughly examined.
The launch of Chandrayaan-3, India’s third mission to the moon, is being watched worldwide with great anticipation because it will be a watershed moment in the history of India’s space program.
