RNS: Second death of Coronavirus has been reported in Jharkhand; a 55 years man died due to COVID-19 infection at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi on Sunday.
The man was among the eight people brought to RIMS from Hindpiri area. The district administration has completely sealed Hindpiri and declared it a containment zone after eight cases of the coronavirus disease were found in the area.
On Saturday, three more Covid-19 cases were reported in Jharkhand, taking the total number of people who have contracted the dreaded disease to 17 in the state, health department officials said.

The total number of novel coronavirus cases in India surged to 8,925 on Sunday, according to the Union Health Ministry. The death toll has increased to 294, while over 1000 patients have been discharged or recovered from the highly contagious disease. One has migrated to another country, the ministry said.
Maharashtra being the worst-hit with 1895 cases and 127 deaths followed by Tamil Nadu (1075) and Delhi (1069), the other most-affected states according to their recorded deaths are Delhi (19) Gujarat (23), Telangana (14), Madhya Pradesh (43), Punjab (12), Karnataka (6), West Bengal (5), Jammu and Kashmir (4), Uttar Pradesh (5) Kerala (2), Andhra Pradesh (6), Bihar (1) and Himachal Pradesh have reported 2 deaths.
