RNS: DPS Bokaro celebrated Foundation Day on Saturday, marking the 36 year since its inception. The ceremony commenced by welcoming the Chief Guest K.P. Singh, Commandant, 26 Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Sushma Singh added grace to the celebrations.
A welcome song was presented by the students. The chorus with melodious acoustics sedated the listeners. This was followed by the school song. The special birthday song on the occasion touched every soul present in the auditorium. The primary wing students enthralled the audience through their melodious song and dance presentations. Vice Head Boy Apurva Anand delivered the welcome address. This was followed by cake cutting. Living up to the motto of the institution- ‘Service Before Self ‘study materials and hygiene kit were distributed by the Chief Guest to the students of Deepansh Shiksha Kendra – a school run for the students of the marginalised sections of the society.
Senior wing students then enthralled the audience through their impeccable dance performance. The ceremony culminated with an enthralling dance performance followed by vote of thanks by Vice Head Girl Pragya Bharadwaj.
To commemorate the special occasion, ‘The Tagore Language Lab’ was inaugurated by the Principal in the Primary Wing. About 40 computers with mic-headphones have been installed in this lab. Through this, children will be able to gain knowledge of English and Sanskrit as well as German and French languages. Specially trained teachers have been arranged for this.
On this occasion, Principal, DPS Bokaro A.S. Gangwar said that the idea behind this state-of-the-art lab is to make the children proficient in the language of their choice so that they can be prepared for the global stage.
In his motivating address, the Chief Guest appreciated the overall development of the students. Extending his best wishes on the foundation day of the school, he said that the glorious journey of DPS Bokaro for the last 35 years does not require any introduction. It has made its identity in the field of education. The students have brought laurels for their alma mater from across the globe and have etched their name in the leader board. He inspired the students to respect their teachers and said that if one respects his teachers, he will surely become great. Singh also appreciated the efforts taken by DPS Bokaro under the leadership of Gangwar for community development.
Gangwar extended his heartfelt gratitude to all the stakeholders who have played a vital role in accomplishing the milestones. He added that the school aims to build responsible human beings blessed with the virtues of righteousness who will contribute to the community at large.
