RNS: Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck today arrived at New Delhi Airport; he is on a three-day visit to India. This visit follows the two country’s long-standing high-level exchanges.
The King, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Dr. Tandi Dorji and senior officials of the Bhutan government, were welcomed by External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar at the airport.
The King will meet with President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit.
Dr. Jaishankar tweeted that his visit will deepen the special India-Bhutan relationship. During the visit, the two countries could evaluate all aspects of bilateral cooperation and strengthen their intense connection, including economic and development cooperation.
