RNS I Ayodhya: The nation’s eyes are fixed on Ayodhya’s Shri Ram temple, which is set to open its doors to the general public on January 23. The Uttar Pradesh government anticipates that over one lakh devotees will visit the temple daily, and meticulous preparations have been undertaken to manage the expected crowds.
The temple will offer fruits and milk to Lord Rama every hour to mark this historic occasion.
The ceremonial decoration and worship of Shri Ram will commence at 3 o’clock in the morning, according to Ayodhya district administrative officials. A comprehensive Shri Ram Temple timetable, known as the “Shri Ramopasana Samhita,” has been established to govern the day’s proceedings.
At the break of dawn, priests will begin adorning Lord Shri Ram, who will be awakened as per tradition at 4 o’clock. Subsequently, at 8 am, the temple gates will open, granting visitors the opportunity to witness Lord Shri Ram.
Experts note that Ramlala is expected to be adorned in yellow attire during special occasions.
Additionally, He will don white on Mondays, red on Tuesdays, green on Wednesdays, yellow on Thursdays, light yellow on Fridays, blue on Saturdays, and pink on Sundays. The final evening aarti of the day will take place at 7 pm.
Throughout the day, Lord Shri Ram will be made available for darshan for a total of 14 hours. Five aarti ceremonies will be performed in His honor, with a brief darshan pause scheduled between approximately 1 pm and 3 pm, during which time Lord Ram will rest. Darshan will resume at 3 pm and continue until 10 pm. Currently, it is estimated that around one lakh devotees will visit Ayodhya daily, but this number is expected to rise in the future.
As the number of devotees increases, the darshan duration may also be extended to accommodate the growing influx of visitors.
