RNS I Ranchi: Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited based in Jharkhand, has successfully achieved its coal production target of 84 million tonnes (MT) on March 27, 2024.
This achievement marks a 13% increase in production compared to the previous fiscal year, and the target was reached four days ahead of schedule for the current fiscal year.
CCL’s mining operations are spread across eight districts of Jharkhand, making it one of the largest contributors to the state exchequer.
The company is also actively involved in various projects aimed at the holistic development of its stakeholders. In the previous fiscal year, CCL also met its production target of 76 MT.
