CIL holds Three-Day Mining Contracts Program for Capacity Building

Ranchi: Coal India Limited, following the directives of the Ministry of Coal, recently concluded a comprehensive three-day program on Mining Contracts at the Indian Institute of Coal Management (IICM) from April 24-26, 2024.

This initiative was part of the ‘Marathon Training for Capacity Building’ series, primarily targeting executives from the Mining and CMC divisions of various Coal India Limited subsidiaries.

The program commenced with a virtual inauguration by Dr. B. Veera Reddy, Director (Technical) and CMD of CCL (Central Coalfields Limited). A notable highlight was the participation of Brajesh Kumar Tripathy, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Coal India Limited, who delivered a motivational speech during the valedictory session, inspiring the participants.

Distinguished attendees included Dr. Kamakshi Raman, Executive Director of IICM; T.K. Mishra, Advisor (Materials & Contracts) at Coal India Limited; Girish G., General Manager (Contracts Management Cell) at Coal India Limited; and N K Jha, General Manager (Environment & Mines) at IICM. IICM faculties and management trainees of the TSDP program were also present.

In his address, Brajesh Kumar Tripathy underscored the pivotal role of such training programs in enhancing capacity building.

He emphasized that these efforts would enhance the value of Coal India Ltd and transform it into a value-based entity, echoing sentiments expressed by the Chairman of CIL in his Republic Day Speech.

Tripathy accentuated the virtues of honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of belonging to the company, substantiating his points with several examples and anecdotes. He commended the Executive Director and the entire IICM team for the program’s successful organization.
