Gaya: Chhatrasal Singh has assumed charge as the new General Manager of East Central Railway on Saturday.
Previously serving as Additional Member (Traffic Transportation) at Railway Board, New Delhi, Singh belongs to the esteemed 1988 batch of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS).
A graduate in Electrical Engineering from IIT Roorkee, Chhatrasal Singh brings with him a wealth of experience across various crucial roles within Indian Railways. His career has spanned operations, commercial management, and safety departments in South East Central Railway, North Central Railway, North Western Railway, and Northern Railway. He has also held significant positions such as Director (Computerization and Information Systems) at Railway Board and General Manager at CRIS, New Delhi.
Singh’s notable contributions include his tenure as Divisional Railway Manager at Chakradharpur Division, South Eastern Railway, and as Principal Chief Operating Manager at South East Central Railway. His appointment as General Manager of East Central Railway underscores his commitment to furthering the efficiency and development of railway operations in the region.
