New Delhi: The nation is observing a solemn tribute to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the 11th President of India and a celebrated aerospace scientist, on the 9th anniversary of his death today. Known as the ‘Missile Man of India,’ Dr. Kalam played a pivotal role in India’s space and missile development programs and dedicated his life to national service. He passed away on this day in 2015.
On this occasion, Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer paid homage to the former President, describing Dr. Kalam as the ‘People’s President.’ Governor Nazeer emphasized Dr. Kalam’s significant contributions to both science and public life and noted that his ideals and values will continue to inspire future generations.
Home Minister Amit Shah also honored Dr. Kalam, praising him for his unique blend of hard work, simplicity, and sensitivity. In a social media post, Shah highlighted how Dr. Kalam’s life served as a source of inspiration, particularly to the youth, and underscored his belief that perseverance and hard work can help achieve any goal. Shah referred to Dr. Kalam as the ‘People’s President’ and stated that his thoughts will remain a guiding force for future generations.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu joined the tributes, stating that Dr. Kalam’s life continues to be a beacon of inspiration for the country’s youth.
