Bokaro: ESL Steel Limited, a Vedanta Group company renowned for its commitment to community welfare, has continued its tradition of social responsibility with a recent visit to the Nand Ghar in Sindur Pethi Village, Chas Sub-division.
This initiative aligns with the company’s ongoing efforts to contribute to societal well-being and is part of Vedanta’s broader #KhaanaKhaayaKya Movement.
The #KhaanaKhaayaKya Movement, envisioned by Vedanta’s Chairman Mr. Anil Agarwal, aims to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry and has access to nutritious food and wholesome development. The movement has become a symbol of collaboration between the private and public sectors, inviting the public to support through donations, volunteering, or spreading awareness.
Employees from ESL Steel Limited have actively participated in this initiative by volunteering their time and resources. Their contributions have included organizing engaging activities for children at Nand Ghars in Chas, Chandankiyari, and Nawadih, such as games, motor skill exercises, and creative sessions.
During their recent visit to Sindur Pethi Village, the team from ESL Steel Limited, including CEO and the Whole Time Director Ashish Kumar Gupta, Head of CSR, ER & PR Ashish Ranjan, Head of Logistics Ravindra Kumar Dhing, Head of Policy & Business Promotion Divya Tripathi, and Deputy Head of CSR Rakesh Kumar Mishra, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to community development.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta emphasised ESL Steel’s dedication to making a positive impact beyond its industrial operations. “Our volunteering programs and CSR initiatives are integral to our mission of contributing to societal progress and improving the lives of those in our community,” he said.
Notably, Vedanta ESL Steel Limited, located in Siyaljori village in Bokaro district, operates a 2.5 MTPA integrated steel plant that adheres to high environmental standards while producing a range of steel products. The company remains committed to leveraging its resources and expertise to foster a more inclusive and supportive community.
