“We Will Spare No Effort in Empowering Women”: Bhavya Thakur

Bokaro: The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) Chandrapura Thermal Power Station (CTPS), distributed certificates to 50 participants of its sewing and knitting center on Saturday. A CTPS official noted that this initiative is part of DVC’s commitment to empowering women through skill development.

The certificate distribution ceremony was attended by notable figures including DVC Executive Director Rakesh Ranjan, Chief General Manager and Project Head Manoj Kumar Thakur, and other dignitaries such as Anjani Kumar Dubey, Mahesh Singh, Sugandha Dubey, Sangeeta Ranjan, and Bhavya Thakur, among others.

The event also saw the presence of Shakuntala Devi and Lakshmi Devi from the Maa Santoshi Mahila Mandal self-help group, as well as Assistant Manager Shrivatsa and several other key personnel including Akshay Kumar, Abhinandan Kumar, and Govind Pandey.

Rakesh Ranjan, the Executive Director of HR of DVC conducted a meeting with the Principal and teachers of DVC +2 School during his visit to Chandrapura. The discussions focused on optimizing the use of limited resources and enhancing student proficiency in areas such as smart classes, sports, and general knowledge. The meeting also explored the “Chalo Gaon Ki Or” scheme provided by the Jharkhand Government and CSR initiatives.

Principal Amulya Singh Sardar raised several critical issues concerning the school and its students. In response, ED HR Rakesh Ranjan assured that these matters would be addressed promptly.

In addition to the certificate distribution, the event featured the distribution of umbrellas to DVC women employees and other attendees. The gathering included Senior General Manager (HR) Dr. C. Pandey, Manager (HR) Parvind Kumar, and various teachers and staff members of the school, underscoring the collective effort towards community development and support.
