Bokaro: The Sakhi Bahinpa Maithilani Group’s Bokaro unit hosted a vibrant Sakhi Diwas cum Sawan Milan at Bokaro Club on Sunday evening to mark the group’s foundation day. The event commenced with the lighting of lamps by Amita Jha, President; Usha Jha, General Secretary; Nutan Jha, Deputy General Secretary; and senior members Sheela Mishra, Kiran Mishra, Asha Jha, and Dr. Manju Jha.
The celebration featured a variety of performances. Competitions included a quiz to select the Sawan Sundari, with Jayanti Pathak securing first place, Anamika Jha second, and Pinky Jha third.
Awards were presented for Best Personality to Kiran Mishra, Best Anchor to Sangeeta Mishra, and Best Costume to Sanjita Bhuvanesh Jha. Reema was honored for her role in the Mithila painting workshop organized by the group.
The event concluded with General Secretary Usha Jha delivering the vote of thanks, and a panel of judges including Devyani Prasad, Sangeeta Mishra, and Amita Jha overseeing the competitions. Attendees included Poonam Mishra, Beena Jha, Ruby Thakur, and others. President Amita Jha emphasized the importance of respecting women’s roles in society.
