Jharkhand Assembly Poll: JMM-Congress alliance to contest 70 seats; 11 RJD, Left parties

Ranchi: In a strategic alliance ahead of the upcoming elections, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress have joined forces to contest 70 seats together. This collaboration also includes the allocation of 11 seats to the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and various leftist parties, specifically targeting regions where these groups have substantial support.

Key political figures, including Congress in-charge Gulam Ahmad Mir, JMM working president Hemant Soren, and senior cabinet minister Rameshwar Oraon, announced the alliance, underscoring their united front against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The leaders stressed the importance of this coalition for maintaining political balance in the state.

Political analysts suggest that this alliance could significantly alter Jharkhand’s electoral landscape, particularly if the coalition proves successful in the polls. As the parties refine their strategies and prepare for a vigorous campaign, voters are eager to see which alliance can best meet their needs and aspirations.

With the political environment shifting, the people of Jharkhand are poised for change as elections draw near.
