BIT Sindri Hosts Bootcamp on Electronics for UAS, Sensors, and Communications

Sindri: BIT Sindri organized a bootcamp on Tuesday, focused on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), sensor technologies, and communications at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The event attracted a large crowd of students and professionals, featuring expert talks, interactive sessions, and practical classes.

The bootcamp began with a lamp-lighting ceremony and an inaugural address by Dr. Pankaj Rai, Director of BIT Sindri, who highlighted the growing role of airborne technologies.

Key speakers included Prof. Ravi Kumar Gangwar from IIT ISM Dhanbad and Prof. Jaisingh T, who shared insights into the evolving field. The event, running from December 3-7, 2024, also saw mentors Dr. Varun Choudhary, Kundan Kumar Suman, and Aks Raj distributing kits to participants and encouraging active participation.

Senior professors from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, including Dr. Arvind Kumar, Dr. Imteyaz Ahmed, and Dr. A.P. Sinha, were present throughout the session. The event was coordinated by Prof. Gunjan Gandhi, Prof. Prashant Kumar Singh, and student coordinators Rohit Kumar, Akash Kumar, Shreya Paul, and Ameesha Kumari Soren. The inaugural session was led by Shreya Paul, who conducted it with professionalism.

The bootcamp concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Pankaj Rai and Prof. MG Tiari, leaving attendees inspired to explore the potential of UAS, sensors, and communications in the future.
