Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, once again adopting an aggressive tone, said in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Saturday, “As long as our religion is safe, only then we will be safe.” Yogi was in the city to participate in the centenary celebrations of the establishment of the Vihangam Yog Sant-Samaj at the Swerved Mahamandir Dham. During his address, he said, “Every work should be for the nation, we have no personal existence. If our nation is safe, then our religion will also be safe, and if our religion is safe, we will be safe.”
While addressing the centenary celebrations, Yogi Adityanath mentioned that this country was once shackled by the chains of slavery. To free the nation from these chains, along with his spiritual practice, Sadguru Sadafal Maharaj played an active role in the freedom movement. Yogi added, “One should not sit quietly. Once one task is completed, the next task should begin, but every work should be in the name of the nation, in the name of Sanatan Dharma. A true saint cannot sit idly by with his hands folded while the nation and society face challenges.”
While also mentioning the upcoming Maha Kumbh, which will begin in Prayagraj on January 13, CM Yogi said, “There is one Kumbh here, and the other Maha Kumbh is about to begin in Prayagraj from January 13. The Prayagraj Maha Kumbh has now been recognized as a cultural heritage.” He further said, “This year is very important for us. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, on January 22, 2024, after 500 years of waiting, Ram Lalla will again be enshrined in the grand temple in Ayodhya.”
Referring to the development work done in Varanasi during Prime Minister Modi’s tenure, Yogi Adityanath said, “You must be seeing that today Kashi is a new Kashi. In the last 10 years, Prime Minister Modi has illuminated Kashi. Today in Kashi, there is Namo Ghat, which is the largest ghat in the country and the world, and it also has a helipad. The temples in Kashi have been renovated. Infrastructure work whether it is road, rail, or air connectivity is now 100 times better than it was before 2014. Now, you can even continue your journey using the waterway between Kashi and Haldia.
